Hanno Pevkur (born 2 April 1977 in Iisaku, Estonia) is an Estonian politician, a member of the Estonian Reform Party. He graduated in 2002 with a BA degree from the law faculty of the University of Tartu.〔(Hanno Pevkur's biography on the Riigikogu's web site )〕 From April 2007 until February 2009 he was a member of the Estonian parliament Riigikogu. When the Estonian Minister of Social Affairs Maret Maripuu decided to step down due to a scandal caused by the Ministry's inability to ensure home delivery of pensions and timely welfare payments, he was nominated to be her successor on 18 February 2009.
